Job Overview

Join our team as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), specializing in Enterprise IAM at OpenAI. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining scalable Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions to enhance security and efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Identity and Access Management

• Design, build, and maintain scalable IAM automation workflows using Python, PowerShell, and Terraform.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions for IAM environments across multiple cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate IAM deployments and ensure seamless integration.
• Define and implement monitoring and observability strategies for IAM system health and compliance.
• Collaborate with security and DevOps teams to integrate IAM solutions within a Zero Trust framework.

Requirements

Technical Skills and Experience

• Advanced proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly in Python and PowerShell.
• Extensive experience with Azure Active Directory (AzureAD) and identity management systems.
• Strong experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and cloud automation tools, such as Terraform.
• Proven ability to architect and manage access control mechanisms within security frameworks such as Zero Trust, RBAC, and ABAC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CCSP.

Compensation

Salary Range: $255,000 - $325,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, requiring three days a week in our office.
