As our Head of Site Reliability (SRE), you will head two distinct teams: a team focused on all of One's efforts around reliability and observability, and the other on quality engineering. You’ll drive the strategy, hire and build an exceptional core of engineers, and ensure One's customers get the experience and quality they deserve
You Will:
Lead our Reliability and Quality Engineering teams, ensuring world class levels of system reliability and software quality
Implement strategies for high-availability systems with 99.9999% uptime
Collaborate and build your teams to implement and grow roadmaps from early stages of design to deployment
Implement and manage global 24/7/365 operations, including support team rotations
Assess and establish our quality practices and standards, and build for the future
You Bring:
Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration between engineering, product management, and other departments. This involves not only ensuring the quality of products but also aligning quality assurance strategies with our objectives and customer needs, ensuring a holistic approach to product development and delivery.
An innovative approach to quality assurance, with the ability to implement cutting-edge technologies, practices and methodologies.
Expertise in System Architecture and Scalability - you have a deep understanding of system architecture, and ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly reliable systems.
The ability to stay cool under pressure; you have exceptional skills in incident management and resolution, with a focus on minimizing downtime and preventing recurrence.
This involves not just technical proficiency but also a strategic approach to risk management, system monitoring, and continuous improvement of operational practices.
Excellent communication and team integration skills
In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we’ve adopted a flat titling structure at One. Though we may occasionally post a role externally with a prefix such as “Senior” to reflect the external level of the position, we do not use prefixes in titles like that internally unless in a position which manages a team. Internal titles typically include your specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management or sales, and often include additional descriptors to ensure clarity of role and placement within our organization (i.e. “Engineer, Platform”, “Sales, Business Development” or “Manager, Talent”). Employees are paid commensurate with their experience and the internal level within One.
