Key Responsibilities

• Designing, building, running, and monitoring Okta's production infrastructure using our advanced technology stack.
• Leading security initiatives to enhance the robustness of our systems.
• Effectively responding to and resolving production incidents to prevent future issues.
• Troubleshooting complex production problems to ensure optimal system reliability and performance.
• Automating manual processes to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
• Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Participating in a global on-call rotation to support our 24x7 online environment.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in automating, securing, and operating large-scale production services in AWS or other cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of core Kubernetes concepts and CI/CD principles.
• Proficiency in operational tooling languages such as Ruby, Python, or Go.
• Knowledge of both relational and non-relational datastores.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with cloud networking infrastructure, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform.
• Advanced expertise in Linux systems.
