The Opportunity: Building the Foundation for Social Good

At Neon One, we are on a transformative journey to scale our SaaS platform, enabling non-profits to operate more effectively and increase their social impact. We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team to build and mature the cloud backbone that will power our next generation of products, ensure bulletproof reliability, and accelerate innovation for the non-profits we serve. This is an opportunity to be a core member of a growing team, grow our infrastructure strategy, and work with a diverse technology ecosystem supporting a powerful mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Implementation & Management: Design and implement resilient cloud architectures using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), writing and maintaining Terraform for AWS resources.


• CI/CD Pipeline Optimization: Build and optimize continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions.


• System Reliability: Monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and utilize observability tools like CloudWatch and NewRelic, with on-call rotation.


• Security & Access Control: Administer cloud hosting accounts and integrate security best practices into the infrastructure lifecycle.


• AI Infrastructure Support: Provision and secure AWS infrastructure for AI and machine learning workloads.


• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams and runbooks.


• Collaborate and Empower: Partner with engineering, product, security, and operations stakeholders to provide platform and tools.

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure in AWS


• Proven experience architecting and managing solutions in AWS


• Proficiency with IaC tools, specifically Terraform or CloudFormation


• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitHub Actions


• Strong scripting skills to automate repetitive tasks


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed team

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with application stacks like JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Java, .NET


• Experience managing container orchestration platforms


• Hands-on experience with compliance frameworks like SOC2 and PCI-DSS


• Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools


• Experience working with or passion for the non-profit sector
