DevOps Engineers are responsible for developing the operations toolsets necessary to run applications at Neighborhoods.com. Specific tasks include designing complete solutions with implementation developers, managing existing infrastructure resources and continually improving CI/CD workflows.

 What you’ll be doing

• Work with the rest of the engineering team to design complete solutions that seamlessly integrate infrastructure and applications, ensuring resiliency and fault tolerance.
• Take ownership of infrastructure products, proactively identify issues, and independently research and troubleshoot to resolution.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and reporting toolsets.
• Work to continuously improve the delivery and infrastructure to support our suite of applications.
• Use tools including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and ArgoCD to deploy to dynamic, scalable environments.
• Participate in our engineering culture, with an emphasis on contributing ideas, thoughts, and constructive feedback regarding the work of others on our team.
• Work with the engineering team to continually define and refine our technical practices and toolsets.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and product stakeholders to deliver technical solutions to complex content-delivery and performance problems.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, and mentoring engineers as they join the team.
• Participate in code reviews, both of your code and of others.

 Essential Qualifications

• Proficient in orchestrating containerized production applications using Docker and Kubernetes deployed via AWS EKS.
• Ability to support serverless applications on AWS Lambdas and Amplify.
• Proven expertise in implementing infrastructure as code through tools such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Development Kit.
• In-depth knowledge and application of best practices in continuous integration and continuous delivery with ArgoCD and Jenkins.
• Understand website delivery best-practices from hosts using WordPress and React.
• Demonstrate competence in modifying DNS configuration and orchestrating SSL certificates on Cloudflare.
• Versatility in working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
• Experience in managing user and group permissions utilizing AWS IAM and Okta.
• Eagerness to engage with and adopt emerging technologies.

Education and Experience

• At least two years of hands-on DevOps or systems experience in a production environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or another analytical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ Year of Experience working with Docker in production.
• 2+ Years of Experience with Linux system administration.
• 2+ Years of Experience working with a cloud-based infrastructure service like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Compute. We use AWS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation range: $130k-145k
