Job Overview

Join MODIFI GmbH as a Senior DevOps Engineer in this exciting remote work eligible engineering position. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure of our innovative global Trade Finance platform, leveraging a sophisticated technology stack including Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the cloud infrastructure built on Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
• Support Business Intelligence infrastructure ensuring data flows fast and clean.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, EFK, and Graylog.
• Handle production incidents, drive resolution, and write clear postmortems (RCAs).
• Keep our CI/CD pipelines in top shape and follow DevOps best practices.
• Manage and evolve our Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
• Participate in technical decisions to improve our infrastructure and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Release Engineering in a microservices SaaS environment.
• Expertise in Linux, including automation, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Deep understanding of internet plumbing: HTTP/S, DNS, TCP/IP, SSL.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, including orchestration, scaling, monitoring, and recovery.
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash and Python.
• Experience managing both SQL and NoSQL databases in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional training or certification in cloud/sysadmin/devops/infosec.
• Background in information security.
• Knowledge in the management of Apache Kafka clusters.
