We are building a world-class team and would love you to join us. As Cloud Engineer (Azure), you’ll be part of an agile project team working with all the infrastructure pieces of a system. You will also oversee the migration process and design, maintain, and monitor the new cloud platform, as well as configuring hybrid connectivity between on-site systems and the cloud environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical skills and leadership ability, with the communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the IT team. The job holder is a specialist in the design, deployment, and management of cloud services within the Microsoft Azure platform. They play a critical role in ensuring that cloud infrastructure and applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and security. By leveraging Azure's suite of tools and services, these engineers enable businesses to transform their operations and innovate within the cloud ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on the Azure platform (with a clear exit strategy)
Collaborating with development teams to integrate cloud services into software applications
Optimizing resource utilization and implementing cost-saving measures
Staying current with Azure services updates and industry best practices to recommend improvements to existing architectures
Providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders on cloud-related issues
Developing and maintaining documentation for cloud architectures, procedures, and training materials
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with business processes
Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements
Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud-native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments
Develop and implement automated policy-driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss
Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being modernized.
Designing, migrating, and operation on medium to large-scale enterprise infrastructure, databases, and application systems
Required Qualifications
Azure Cloud experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of cloud platforms
Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security, and CI/CD tooling using Azure DevOps, Github actions, FluxCD, ArgoCD, or Jenkins
Experience in IaC development using Terraform (with ARM Templates)
Experience with Kubernetes, preferably AKS
Experience with Powershell, Bash, or Python for writing Scripts
Experience with Go, C#, and JS for as programming languages is plus
Monitoring experience using Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, Prometheus
Deep understanding and exp configuring networking in Azure Cloud
Managing and monitoring cloud infrastructures to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency
experience with Machine learning and AI is huge plus
Familiar with SDLC - Previous experience as Software Engineering is huge plus
Experience working within an Agile framework
Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross-functional partners
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
