Objectway is seeking a Microsoft System Administrator to support its growth plan. The role will be based in Milano and will involve managing, maintaining, and evolving the global Microsoft infrastructure to support worldwide clients.

🎯 The Role

The Microsoft System Administrator will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and evolution of the global Microsoft infrastructure, supporting all worldwide clients.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Administration and management of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022): installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting
• Management and maintenance of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and certification services (AD CS)
• Administration of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID / Azure AD)
• Management and monitoring of Microsoft Azure: IaaS, networking, backup, security, and identity
• Support and maintenance of VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization environments
• Basic administration of SQL Server instances: installation, backup/restore, performance monitoring, and security management
• Implementation and management of backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Azure Backup)
• Proactive monitoring of infrastructure using monitoring tools (e.g., checkmk)
• Documentation and procedure updates
• Second and third-level user and application team support
• Participation in infrastructure migration, upgrade, and implementation projects.

📌 Required Qualifications

• Degree/diploma
• Proven experience (5+ years) in managing Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
• Deep knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and related services
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, Azure AD / Entra ID, Azure Backup, Azure Networking)
• Basic knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and Apache CloudStack
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (installation, backup/restore, basic queries, user management)
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, basic firewall)
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for system administration automation.

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-800/801, MS-102, AZ-900)
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., SCCM / MECM, Intune)
• Knowledge of Microsoft security solutions (Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel)
• Experience with hybrid environments (on-premise + cloud)
• Knowledge of IIS and Microsoft web services
• Familiarity with ITIL and change/incident management processes
• English language proficiency (B2 or higher).
