Platform Engineer

PrimeRx, the go-to pharmacy management software, seeks a platform engineer who will own the continuous integration and continuous deployment process and write and maintain Terraform code supporting our cloud products. They will support the development teams in leveraging these tools to write, test, deploy, and operate software. They will be crucial in optimizing our Azure infrastructure for scalability, security, and efficiency.

 

What you will do

 

    • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for various development projects.
    • Monitor and correct security findings identified in the Azure Security Center.
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and scaling processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
    • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify bottlenecks and improve deployment frequency and stability.
    • Implement and maintain monitoring and logging systems for proactive issue resolution and performance optimizations.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and evaluate new tools to enhance the development and deployment processes.
    • Design and build scalable, reliable, secure platform infrastructure to support application development and deployment.
    • Manage the underlying infrastructure, including cloud services and on-premises resources, to optimize performance, cost, and scalability.
    • Ensure platform compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements by integrating security practices into the platform's design and infrastructure.
    • Develop and build shared operational infrastructure.

 

What you will need

 

    • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code platforms such as Terraform.
    • Familiarity with creating and maintaining CICD pipelines.
    • Experience with observability tools such as Data Dog and Azure Application Insights.
    • Ability to program or script using tools such as C#, Python, Bash, and Powershell.
    • Excellent commnunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

 

What will make you stand out

 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Experience with infrastructure and platform services in cloud environments, preferably Azure.
    • Knowledge of container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
    • Strong understanding of network fundamentals, security principles, and compliance standards.
    • Experience with Terraform.
    • A background as a software developer is a plus. (Python, C#, etc.)
    • Ability to script using Bash, Powershell, or similar.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
