What you’ll do as a Site Reliability Engineer at Online Payment Platform

What started with five people, a small office, and a couple of Nerf guns has grown into one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs. At OPP, we build the technology that powers the next generation of e-commerce. From eBay to IKEA: billions of transactions already run through our systems. We don’t just process payments — we make it possible for platforms to receive, manage, and pay out funds. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, scaling, and improving the reliability and performance of our platform and infrastructure. You’ll make sure our systems run smoothly and continuously improve them. Your work will have a direct impact on millions of users who rely on our payment technology every day.

Your impact

• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to track the performance of our infrastructure.
• Automate incident response, monitoring, and workflows for on-call support.
• Optimize the scalability and performance of our platform by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and handle escalations during incidents.

Job requirements

Your profile

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana stack
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Understanding of performance tuning & scaling
• Familiarity with security best practices, secrets management, and compliance auditing
• Experience with incident management and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability solutions
• For this position, we are looking for someone residing in the Netherlands

• An all-in annual salary between €45.000 and €90.000
