We develop and deploy state-of-the-art models and systems in mobile and server environments, collaborating with various professional teams to create impactful AI experiences for users.

🎯 The Role

Match Group AI's ML Engineer is both a researcher who studies and applies the latest AI/ML technologies, and an engineer who designs and operates models and systems in real service environments. We are looking for someone who can skillfully perform at least one of the following tasks:

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Solve various business problems occurring in Match Group's products by redefining business issues as appropriate AI/ML problems and finding the best methodologies to solve them.
• Participate in the development of new products and features, using AI/ML technologies from idea conception to prototyping and reaching actual users.

📌 Required Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of AI/ML and in-depth knowledge of at least one specific domain, with relevant project experience.
• Able to perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to discover statistical characteristics and patterns in data and reflect them in the problem-solving process.
• Proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX, able to write high-quality, collaborative, and maintainable code.
• Engineering capabilities required for building and deploying ML model training pipelines.
• Strong interest in the serviceization of AI technology.
• Consistently learning new technologies and able to share them with the team.
• Fluent communication in Korean, with the ability to understand and write technical documents in English and conduct non-face-to-face communication.

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Publications in top-tier AI/ML conferences and journals (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, RecSys, KDD, CVPR, etc.) or awards in related competitions.
• Experience applying AI technology to real services to meaningfully improve key business metrics.
• Experience with A/B test planning, target KPI definition, causal relationship analysis, and extracting meaningful insights from data using statistical methods and SQL-based analysis.
• Experience with client (Android, iOS), backend, or other projects outside the AI field.
• Experience collaborating with various roles (PM, data, business) to define requirements, manage schedules, and adjust priorities at the project or feature level (including PM/PO experience).
• Ability to participate in large meetings or discussions with multiple stakeholders in English.
