Site Reliability Engineer - AWS Cloud & DevOps

Job Overview

Join our team as a Site Reliability Engineer - AWS Cloud & DevOps. In this remote work engineering position, you will play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure to ensure high reliability and performance across our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for deployment automation.
• Automate workflows using Shell and Groovy, with Python or PowerShell as desirable skills.
• Manage and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux or BSD systems in production environments.
• Ensure robust cloud security using best practices such as SSL/TLS, KMS, IAM, and WAF.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
• Maintain and scale AWS services including Lambda, CloudFront, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, S3, and OpenSearch.
• Administer databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, DynamoDB, and optionally Firestore.
• Support Docker-based environments and manage container orchestration with AWS ECS; Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.

Required Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of hands-on experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Systems Administrator in cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and core services.
• Proficient in Terraform and Jenkins for IaC and CI/CD.
• Solid experience with Shell and Groovy scripting; Python or PowerShell is a plus.
• Advanced administration skills in UNIX/Linux/BSD systems.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VPCs, DNS (Route 53), Security Groups, and Route Tables.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with SSL/TLS, IAM roles, and KMS.
• Experience with SonarQube and Dependency Track; Nexus is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
• Familiarity with packaging tools like Maven or npm.
• Broader programming knowledge beyond scripting.
• Experience with Firestore and additional cloud platforms.
• Background in high-traffic web environments.
• Experience with additional monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Grafana.
