Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure team at a global financial technology firm. This role requires a passionate individual who loves solving problems with creative, multi-disciplinary, polyglot, and/or open-source solutions. The ideal candidate will work independently while collaborating with stakeholders as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer our Linux compute platform based on Kubernetes and AWS
• Engineer our Python and Terraform-based tools and automation
• Build infrastructure applications, write, and review code as needed
• Solve problems with a combination of coding and implementation of open source tools
• Troubleshoot and debug complex systems
• Leverage our design, coding, automation, and implementation skills to engineer what we need, solving business and technology problems

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant infrastructure experience
• Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, DNS, Kerberos, and/or AWS IAM
• Polyglot programming capability, with advanced-level Python ability (other languages in our ecosystem include Java, Go, and Bash)
• Experience with running critical workloads on AWS
• Ability to balance delivery with correctness, delivering timely solutions that are properly risk-managed for the needs of the business
• An inquisitive mind, the ability to learn and problem-solve, and are a self-starter
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline
• Have a valid work permit to work in the country
