Job Description:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with a focus on edge & cloud data processing to join our dynamic team in Islamabad, Pakistan. Your role will be pivotal in developing state of the art applications for the edge and cloud. The expertise you will bring to the table will be crucial in using point cloud data to empower smart cities!
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the seamless delivery of software applications.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient and effective software releases.
Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Perform regular system audits and security assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Create cutting applications for the edge and cloud
Participate in the design and development of new features that utilize cutting-edge computer vision techniques to advance our digital twin technology.
Analyze performance data and iterate on our solutions to enhance accuracy and robustness in spatial data handling.
Qualifications:
Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Proficiency in creating applications for the cloud and edge
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Experience with ROS software and methodologies.
Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as C++, Python, or similar.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Team-oriented with an ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Familiarity with monitoring and log aggregation tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack).
Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
