We're hiring a Principal Engineer for our Offers Team, based hybrid in London or remote within the UK. This role is pivotal in leading the evolution of our offer generation systems and enhancing our architectural frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

System Architecture and Development

• Lead the design and development of systems for dynamic, data-driven offer strategies.
• Re-architect code to meet evolving business challenges in collaboration with other principal engineers.

Leadership and Strategic Influence

• Guide the evolution of system architecture to optimize customer journeys and enhance offer generation processes.
• Communicate a clear technical vision that aligns with long-term business goals.

Startup Culture in a Scale-up Environment

• Enjoy open communication and quick decision-making processes typical of a startup.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using shared systems and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Expertise in systems architecture and complex domain models management.
• Advanced proficiency in software development with object-oriented languages.
• Proven ability to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in mentoring and inspiring teams.
• Experience in building and shaping large systems in complex business domains.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Python, Django, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning processes.
• Understanding of complex data systems, including event-sourced models.
• Strong numerical or technical background, ideally with a relevant degree.
• Front-end development experience.

Compensation

Salary Range: £100K - £140K
