🎯 The Role

As an IT-Servicetechniker Systemadministrator (m/w/d), you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our demanding hardware and software solutions and virtual platforms. You will work both in the office and directly with customers, ensuring the documentation of your work and handling troubleshooting and maintenance appointments on site.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Performing 2nd level support in direct customer contact
• Conducting functional and performance tests
• Diagnosing and analyzing faults for hardware, software, and network components; also virtualized
• Providing technical support to our customers on site
• Working on solutions in the field of telecommunications monitoring in high-security data centers
• Being an idea generator for our development department from your work practice
• Being responsible for the reference and test systems used
• Documenting faults, solutions, and IT processes
• Participating in on-call duty
• Performing factory and on-site acceptance of systems

📌 Required Qualifications

• Completed degree (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent technical training and relevant professional experience in service
• Sound knowledge and confidence in working with Unix-based operating systems, e.g., Red Hat, Rocky Linux, CentOS, AIX
• Sound knowledge in network technology, network storage, network security, and network protocol analysis
• Sound knowledge of standardized transmission technologies and protocols in modern telecommunications and data networks
• Customer- and service-oriented behavior
• Structured, careful, and independent work
• Willingness for continuous further training
• Very good German and English skills in speaking and writing
• Driver's license class B
• Flexibility and willingness to travel

⭐ Desirable Experience

• NetApp (advantageous)
• Windows Server 2019 or newer (advantageous)
• Knowledge in working with PVE, VMWare, and/or Citrix (advantageous)
• Knowledge in working with databases (SQL and/or Oracle) is desirable
