DevOps Engineer II

We’re hiring a passionate and skilled engineer to join our DevOps team at Insider Intelligence, the leading provider of research focused on digital transformation. 

The DevOps Engineer II will support a diverse, collaborative group of engineers that help build reliability and scalability into our digital products. Partnering with other engineering teams and leadership, you will implement, configure, optimize, maintain and improve our underlying infrastructure, alerting & monitoring, infra provisioning, networking and dev tooling. 

The position involves critical thinking, analyzing and troubleshooting issues, and leverage scripts to work for you. A successful DevOps Engineer II can adapt, collaborate and innovate to help our systems and processes grow.

 

The Ideal Candidate Is:

 

    • A strong problem solver, capable of troubleshooting issues and recommending a course of action.
    • Knowledgeable in the concepts of Canary Deployments, CI/CD, Containerization, IAC, Scrum, and Site Reliability.
    • A quick learner and team player who is extremely detail-oriented, but able to zoom out and see the broader context. 
    • Able to communicate effectively with people of varied skill sets, experiences, and backgrounds.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

    • Work within teams of diverse, talented and passionate engineers in implementing, optimizing, managing, and maintaining robust infrastructure with frictionless user friendly tooling.
    • Ensure high-quality, maintainable infrastructure as code that follows modern best practices.
    • Represent a development team as their "go-to" infrastructure resource.
    • Be passionate about working within a great team and maintaining a culture of inclusiveness and collaboration.
    • Focus on constantly improving our infrastructure through iteration.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

 

    • Mid-level experience as a DevOps Engineer.
    • You've worked with Cloud Service platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
    • Comfortable scripting in languages such as Bash, Python, and/or Powershell.
    • Experienced with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Nginx, Configuration Mgmt, Databases (MongoDB, MSSQL, PostGreSQL), CI/CD and Windows/IIS
    • You enjoy working closely with engineering teams and value creating frictionless developer experiences in a diverse environment.

 

Salary & Benefits:

 

    • Salary: $125k-$135k (dependent on skills & experience)
