🎯 The Role

The DevOps Engineer will participate in prototyping, designing, and building development, production, and test infrastructure that supports Tecsys services. The Infrastructure and Production Operations team strives to automate everything, manage infrastructure as code, and build the platform using open-source tools and applications.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Build and automate client infrastructure deployments.
• Design scalable solutions for deployment, integration, and continuous delivery/automation across the Tecsys platform lifecycle.
• Leverage AI agents (Amazon Kiro) to orchestrate and accelerate technical tasks while validating results.
• Develop deployment logic, automated tests, and incident response playbooks.
• Manage AWS/Azure infrastructure, hybrid architectures, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Monitor platform stability, resolve incidents, and participate in on-call support.
• Collaborate with development teams on deployment automation and infrastructure scalability.
• Plan and execute maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

📌 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience supporting high-volume, high-availability Java/.NET production systems.
• 2+ years of production experience with AWS or Azure.
• Strong fundamentals in Linux/Unix, Bash scripting, networking.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), Terraform, and Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of AWS/Azure infrastructure, including IAM, EC2, VPC, load balancing, and auto-scaling.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab or Jenkins.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, or Nagios.
• Excellent English proficiency (oral and written) is essential for effective communication with clients, vendors, business partners, and colleagues outside Quebec.
