AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
🏢 About AlphaGov
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.
🎯 The Role
Lead or support infrastructure and energy research for utilities, transit agencies, ports, state energy offices, municipalities, and related public clients.

Synthesize technical, economic, and policy sources into decision-ready reports for non-engineer audiences
Partner with economists, GIS analysts, and sector operators on multi-discipline scopes
Flag when a solicitation requires PE or other licensed practice and help structure a compliant team
Prefer partner/sub posture on mega-capital programs until AlphaGov has matching corporate past performance
Contribute accurate sector framing and named-expert narratives to proposals when permissioned
Document assumptions, data limits, and handoff needs so agencies can sustain the work
📌 Required Qualifications
Five or more years in infrastructure, energy, utility, transit, port, or resilience research/analysis (consulting, agency, or research organization)
At least two completed public or quasi-public studies you can cite (client/agency, your role, year)
Strong writing and ability to explain technical findings to non-engineers
Willingness to be named on proposals when expertise aligns and permission is granted
Comfortable as a project-based collaborator; remote US with occasional travel
