We are seeking a highly skilled “DevOps Engineer” for Hunch. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working with the engineering team and focusing on AWS infrastructure and automation. The Engineer will work closely with the Technical Lead to build, manage and automate our AWS infrastructure.

What we are looking for 👇:
Engineering or technical degree from a reputed institute in India
At least 4-6 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3)
At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps role with hands-on coding experience in Node.js or Python.
Production-grade experience with Kubernetes & Docker, including deployments, monitoring, and scaling applications.
Strong understanding of how to secure AWS/GCP environments and meet compliance requirements
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), using tools like Helm or Terraform or CloudFormation.
Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as CodeBuild, Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
Strong understanding of system administration in Linux/Unix.
Ability to code and script with a firm grasp of development and automation tools.
Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Good to have AWS Developer or DevOps Associate certification
Strong bias for action and ownership
Expected Key Deliverables 💪:
Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
Provision, configure and maintain Kubernetes/AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure defined as code
Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems
Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure to support our applications and services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD):
Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software releases.
Configuration Management:
Implement and manage configuration management tools to ensure consistency across environments.
Monitoring and Alerting:
Set up and maintain monitoring tools to track system and application performance, and implement alerting systems for timely issue resolution.
Containerization and Orchestration:
Utilize containerization platforms (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) to optimize deployment and scalability.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular security assessments.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.
Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain scripts for automated provisioning, deployment, and system maintenance tasks.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Establish and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Performance & Cost Optimization:
Identify and address performance and cost bottlenecks in the infrastructure and application stack.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Share knowledge with the team.
Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
Participate in incident response activities and perform root cause analysis for system outages or performance issues.

We are a Series A funded web3 startup, based out of Singapore and being steered by 3 founders - Ish Goel, Nitika Goel, Kartic Rakhra. Ish has been a 3x entrepreneur. He also served as the founding CTO of Nexus Mutual from 2017-2020 and got his exit at a 100x multiple. He then moved on to build PlotX in Mar 2020.

Hunch is a big focus for our business, and has been recently launched on android / iOS. We are 60+ people, and the same team is working on both the products.
