The Cloud/Devops Engineer will be working with the engineering team and focusing on Cloud infrastructure and automation. A key part of the role is championing and leading infrastructure as code. The Engineer will work closely with the Manager of Operations and Devops to build, manage and automate our infrastructure.As DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for providing efficiency, availability and configuration of the SaaS platform.
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on Cloud
Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
Provision, configure and maintain cloud infrastructure defined as code
Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems
Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of infrastructure and systems
Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
Create and build new CI/CD pipelines and improve existing ones
Build new tools for engine configuration and monitoring
Create processes and integrate them with standard monitoring tools
Build customer portal to provide information about current status of running services
Perform day to day release and support the new versions of software
Troubleshoot and analyze defects and performance issues, including automated test cases in deployment processes and schedule automated deployment tasks regarding to new commit, target environment and etc.
Communicate with clients to manage deployments across multiple environments and ensure availability of the software and data center domains (server, network, storage, security)
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
At least 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining Cloud infrastructure
Strong understanding of how to secure environments and meet compliance requirements
Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with a strong sense of ownership and independence.
Configure technical tools and write scripts to advance automation for CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) pipeline, which minimizes coding errors and facilitates rapid deployment of higher-quality products.
Use tools to automate testing in the CI/CD Pipeline.
Research and help implement automation and integration best practices.
Serve as a liaison with development teams to successfully identify software development best practices and help to implement them.
Take part in the ongoing standardization and documentation of various policies and procedures.
Take part in releasing new features across the organization and ensure highest levels of stability.
Write scripts and technical knowledge articles while configuring technical tools and finding better ways for the team to work.
Experience in networking and virtualization
Experience administering Linux systems and networks in a production environment (TCP/IP, UDP, MAC addresses, IP packets, DNS, OSI layers, ACLs, routing tables, firewalls, VPN and load balancing.)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jenkins, ELK and deploying applications on Cloud
Experience in encryption and key management technologies
Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Strong bias for action and ownership
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
