This job is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate who is willing to implement DevOps concepts not limited to; the design, delivery and support of inhouse built solutions, supporting the development team, supporting different middleware technologies, and making sure the client’s SLAs and KPIs are met.
Responsibilities:
Be part of the developer's scrum team and work closely from the very initial stages to design and deliver the HAUD products.
Responsible for developing, commissioning, upgrading, and maintaining the Haud products.
Help in the architecture and design of new clients’ deployments.
Conduct security risk and vulnerability assessments on developed or installed solutions.
Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible.
Work with DevOps and GitOps tooling such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Longhorn, Ansible, Puppet, Gitlab, Sonarqube etc. to improve performance, deployment procedures and reliability of Haud solutions.
Analyse, diagnose, and solve performance issues on inhouse developed software and supporting software such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Linux, Docker, Puppet, Ansible etc.
Ensure that the required documentation is in place and of good quality.
Incidence management and root cause analysis.
Define and ensure that the necessary non-functional requirements are met
Lead proof of concept (PoC) initiatives for new technologies.
Requirements
A university degree or equivalent is highly desirable, however candidates with good attitude/work experience will be considered.
2+ years working in a similar role
Able to work with various teams to obtain a common goal.
Willing to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects concurrently.
Working Knowledge of Linux administration (such as Ubuntu)
Working Knowledge of scripting languages (such as Bash, PHP, Python)
Working Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible,etc.
Basic SQL knowledge.
Awareness pf critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Good problem-solving skills.
Experience administering and supporting Java applications is considered as an asset.
Passion for Linux and opensource software.
Experience working with containerisation technology is considered as an Asset
Passion for building, refining and fine tuning software solutions and middleware used by these solutions
Willing to always learn and research new technologies is a must.
