GotPhoto is looking for an enthusiastic Platform Engineer to join our Developer Experience Team  in Berlin to ensure  providing the best in class platform for our product engineers.

Our business is growing and so is our team: we will have around 200 employees, distributed over 5 countries, by the end of 2023. You will apply and extend your experience in AWS and infrastructure management with the goal to provide great developer experience and support engineers to operate their products effectively and efficiently.

• Understand the needs of engineers and provide them support on adopting proper infrastructural components.

• Do not own operations -> enable product engineers to own their infrastructural components through initial setup, support, best practices and standardization.

• Constantly improve our AWS setup and how we use its service.

• Be an advocate for best practices regarding CI/CD pipelines.

• You will be engaged with cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform.

• Support engineers to scale their apps and infrastructure.

• 2+ years of DevOps experience - especially in a setup of enabling and supporting engineers (DevEx).

• You have experience in working with cloud providers - especially AWS.

• Managing infrastructure as code - especially with terraform.

• Experience with containerization and Docker. Kubernetes is a plus.

• Having experience with PHP is essential. 

• Understanding network: ipv4, ipv6, routing, http, tcp, udp.

• Experience with relational databases like MySQL.

• Being familiar with queues and event based systems.

• Working with CI/CD pipelines. Gitlab is a plus.

• Fluent English and strong communication skills.

• You can choose to work from home or from our (dog-friendly) office in Berlin
