The compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 USD base salary, depending on experience. Additionally, the role includes equity and full benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Architect and manage AWS infrastructure components like EC2, ECS/Fargate, and RDS.
• Design systems for high availability and scalability using principles of immutable infrastructure.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Maintain Docker environments and implement efficient container orchestration practices.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and CDK for Terraform (cdktf).

Linux Systems Administration

• Manage Linux image build pipelines and harden OS configurations.

Database & Caching Systems

• Oversee PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB, optimizing performance and backup strategies.

Observability

• Enhance system monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities.

Security & Compliance

• Implement cloud security best practices and support compliance efforts like SOC 2 Type II.

Automation & CI/CD

• Develop automation scripts and improve CI/CD pipelines using Python and shell scripting.

Technical Documentation

• Document infrastructure architecture and maintain detailed operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Systems Engineer in cloud-native environments.
• Expertise in AWS, Docker, Linux, Python, Terraform, and shell scripting.
• Proven ability in managing database systems like PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• AWS certifications are considered a plus.
