Junior DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Junior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team at Flix. You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). This is a remote work opportunity with a hybrid work model, offering flexibility to balance work and life.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)


• Automate infrastructure and operational workflows to improve efficiency and reliability


• Support API infrastructure, including API gateways and publishing APIs to external consumers


• Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and contribute to improving system reliability and recovery processes


• Collaborate with engineering teams and support them in using the platform effectively


• Continuously improve platform tooling, automation, and engineering practices


• Participate in an on-call rotation to support platform stability

Required Qualifications

• At least 6 months of professional experience in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering


• Hands-on experience with Python


• Basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and shell usage


• Experience with containerization and interest in Kubernetes


• Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS)


• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD concepts


• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team


• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)


• Exposure to API infrastructure (e.g., API gateways, external API publishing)


• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)


• Interest in improving developer experience and platform usability
