About the Position
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will report to the Lead DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 3+ years in Site Reliability Engineering. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, security, and performance of our systems and applications. They will work directly with our development engineers to ensure monitoring, security, and performance measures are in place. They should be able to step in and recommend improvements to the overall code quality. This role will also include working with the platform team on building out the infrastructure and automation to support our enterprise applications.
About the Platform Engineering Team
The Platform Engineering team is a part of FiscalNote R&D’s Core Platform function, working with R&D teams across the global FiscalNote organization. Platform Engineering is responsible for owning and evolving common tools, libraries, standards, and practices that are shared by numerous teams with similar needs. By understanding the team’s needs and leveraging best practices, Platform Engineering can become a force multiplier for the R&D organization.

You possess a robust set of skills and experience but are keen to dig into new technologies and programming languages. You are enthusiastic, self-reliant, thoughtful, and resourceful. You’re excited to help architect a new product, or jump into an existing one and look for ways to improve it. You take the initiative to own and improve the stability and security of applications, and introduce new practices while prioritizing automating solutions for future team members. You thrive as a self-starter and can operate with autonomy.
