DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you should be able to combine infrastructure as code, security, and innovation to help create the most secure Contract Management Platform ever built. At Evisort, we hold our data and security consistency along with reliability to the highest standards. In this role, you will be part of a team to create, deploy, and manage a high-performing, scalable infrastructure that delivers millions of requests globally with sub-second latency.

 

What you will be doing:

 

    • Design infrastructure and automated systems to support our distributed architecture
    • Manage CI/CD pipelines and constantly improve their reliability and speed
    • Forecast and plan for the infrastructure needs of a fast-growing SaaS company and find ways to improve efficiency
    • Collaborate with developers to set up and configure the necessary cloud services in support of new feature development on AWS
    • Collaborate with other engineering teams to detect and resolve infrastructure problems
    • Develop tools to enhance developer productivity
    • Maintain highly available web and backend services that serve millions of users and 1000s of requests per second
    • Automate as many engineering operations as possible
    • Secure our infrastructure at both the cloud layer (IAM) and application layer (PKI)
    • Build monitoring systems for both infrastructure and business operations, using internal tools as well as integrating with 3rd-party services

 

Qualification:

 

    • BS degree in Computer Science or the equivalent of 3+ years of experience
    • Demonstrable experience in infrastructure as code tools, specifically Terraform and Ansible
    • Strong hands on experience with the AWS ecosystem
    • Production experience in creating and maintaining multi-region environments in AWS
    • Experience orchestrating large scale distributed microservice deployments on Kubernetes and EC2
    • Experience building and managing EKS clusters and knowledge of the K8s ecosystem
    • Familiarity with Prometheus/Grafana/Cloudwatch for monitoring, ELK/OpenSearch stack for logging, and PagerDuty/Alert Manager for alerting/notification
    • Familiarity with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and DynamoDB
    • Production experience troubleshooting and autoscaling message queueing clusters such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka
    • Experience in automation and integration with build systems such as GitHub Actions and GitLab CI
    • Experience with Open Telemetry (Honeycomb/Jaeger/Refinery) and observability a plus
    • Security centric in all approaches to design in infrastructure as code as well as Docker build pipelines and microservice deployments
    • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and environments, from the network through the application
    • Enjoy working across an organization from Development and QA through Operations
