About the Platform Engineering Team:
The Platform Engineering team will be at the forefront of ensuring we can scale as the business grows. As stewards for how Euromonitor engineers run their applications, we sit at the intersection of Software Engineering, Architecture, Design, Infrastructure and Operations, with the decisions we make and actions we take have a lasting impact on how services come to life at Euromonitor.
The Platform Engineering team accelerates the speed of our business by making it easier for Product teams to release more features with less risk. You will be part of this team and need to ensure that Product teams reduce the burden to do common development tasks and allow developers to start new projects or change products quickly. Every investment in Platform Engineering is an investment in making the rest of the Software Engineering organisation more efficient and effective.
About the role of a Platform Engineer:
Reporting to the Platform Engineering Lead, you will work closely with the different Product Engineering teams, along with other functions such as Infrastructure/Operations, Cloud Engineers, Application Support and Client Services, to understand their challenges, goals and requirements and plan accordingly.
The ideal candidate will have strong Azure cloud infrastructure and Azure DevOps experience, supplemented by a proven track record of deploying resources in a structured technical environment using Agile methodologies. You will also be expected to help deliver on a deployment strategy and develop automated tools.
