Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure our Instant Financial Issuance as a Service (IFIaaS) Cloud Service platform is reliable, available, and performant. This role requires a strong background in software engineering, DevOps, and site reliability engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Own SLOs/SLIs for availability, latency, error rate, and quality of service across microservices.
• Design and operate end-to-end observability: metrics, logs, traces, synthetic checks, and real-user monitoring (RUM).
• Instrument services with structured logs and trace context.
• Build health probes and SLA monitors for critical transactions and cross-service dependencies.
• Monitor system issues using various metrics, such as uptime, latency, error rate, throughput, and availability.
• Deploy and maintain monitoring and on-call tools like Splunk, Prometheus, and Datadog.
• Lead incident response, conduct blameless postmortems, and implement MTTA/MTTR reduction programs.
• Forecast compute, storage, and network needs, and optimize resource allocation.
• Validate scaling strategies and implement auto-scaling where supported.
• Standardize gold images, configuration baselines, and desired state for Windows Server.
• Manage patching and ensure backup, snapshot, and restore strategies meet RPO/RTO.
• Support compliance audits and automate provisioning and configuration drift detection.
• Build runbooks to reduce toil and create reliability guardrails as code.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coach engineers on SRE principles and lead knowledge sharing.
• Provide after-hours support for production issues on a rotational basis.

Required Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of related experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role
- Extensive experience with enterprise-level microservices applications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with DevOps tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.)
- In-depth hands-on experience with on-prem and cloud compute, storage, and networking solutions (vmWare, NetApp, Azure, AWS, etc.)

Where You Will Be

This role is fully in-office, requiring five days a week onsite at one of Entrust’s offices in Minneapolis, Colorado, or Dallas.
