DevOps Engineer

About The Role

As we continue to grow across the globe, we are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join an exciting team within the business. 

You will play a pivotal role in creating, managing and optimising our AWS infrastructure whilst collaborating closely with the development team. You will be creating and maintaining infrastructure scripts, ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of our production environment. Your expertise in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, blue/green deployment, automation, and performance monitoring will be essential to our operations.

You’ll Be Responsible For 

• Designing/, implementing, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Developing and managing blue/green deployment strategies to ensure seamless updates and high availability.
• Implementing scalability solutions to handle growing traffic and data.
• Monitoring system performance and optimising for speed, efficiency, and reliability.
• Automating repetitive tasks to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborating with the development team to create and maintain scripts for infrastructure creation and maintenance.
• Supporting the production environment, ensuring uptime and quick resolution of issues.
• Implementing best security practices to safeguard our infrastructure and data.
• Conducting regular performance tuning, load testing, and stress testing.
• Documenting processes, configurations, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.

About You 

You will have - 

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a DevOps role or similar position.
• Strong expertise in AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, Elastic Search, Beanstalk, Lambda, and other AWS services.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or equivalent. 
• Experience with blue/green deployment strategies and automation.
• Strong understanding of scalability and performance optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of performance monitoring tools and practices.
• Excellent understanding of best security practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.

It Would Be Great If You Had:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins or equivalent. 
• Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Understanding of network security and data protection principles.
