THE ROLE
To help us increase productivity in the workplace and operate functional systems that improve the customer experience, we are now seeking a DevOps Engineer. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the highly available production system, developing tools for rapid development and deployment, monitoring systems, and responding to incidents.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure.
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Working with software engineers to ensure development follows established processes.
- Building production infrastructure and deploying application updates.
- Creating visualizations and dashboards to monitor the health of infrastructure and applications.
- Responding to incidents and resolving issues.
- Performing root cause analysis for incidents and improving the system through application or infrastructure updates.
- Maintaining infrastructure setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions.
- Other day to day IT and system administration tasks if required.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, equivalent or higher.
- At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
- Solid knowledge about and experience with automation, CI/CD.
- Solid knowledge about and experience with networking, Windows/Linux server administration.
- Strong problem-solving attitude.
- Self-drivin, enjoys taking initiatives and working independently and proactively.
- High sense of responsibility and ownership of work.
- High sense of security.
- Collaborative team spirit.
