Head of Engineering (m/f/d)

Dentolo is one of the fastest-growing insurance scale-ups in Europe and you will work together with us to provide the digital backbone of our insurance platform.

Your work will range from customer-focused development to workflow automation and internal tools to help our team and customers have a seamless experience.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Architecting our Engineering Team (Hiring & Team Management)
• Supporting your team in their career development (Performance Reviews + Development Talks)
• Facilitating high level of communication and collaboration between our Squads, technical teams and generally within Product & Engineering
• Providing necessary structures and processes in collaboration with our Product team to ensure efficient feature delivery within a growing team
• Representing our Engineering Department internally as part of our Leadership Team and externally toward Stakeholder
• Collaborating with our Product and business teams to define an overall strategy for our products and platform
• Providing strategic direction for our Engineering department when it comes to our technical architecture

What you need to be successful:

• 3-4+ years of experience working in technical fields
• 3+ years of experience in leading and managing technical teams
• 2+ years of experience working in a startup environment
• Built up teams in the past (Hiring & Firing) incl. Career development
• Developed strategies for the technical part of the product/company
• Had exposure to external stakeholders (Customers and/or Investors)
• Experience in a B2C / D2C Company
• Experience in the financial industry is a plus
• Fluent in spoken and written English to facilitate effective communication
• Living in Berlin or will be ready to relocate
