As a Senior Cloud Engineer, your mission is to design, build, and optimize secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructure that enables modern applications and enterprise solutions. Leveraging Microsoft Azure along with tools like Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, you will play a key role in ensuring cloud workloads are reliable, cost-efficient, and production-ready. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to deliver best-in-class cloud solutions that align with organizational and compliance standards.
Design, implement, and maintain Azure-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
Automate deployments, configuration management, and cloud operations through CI/CD pipelines.
Develop secure and scalable solutions leveraging Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Manage and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring resilient and effective solutions.
Apply cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data protection, and compliance enforcement.
Ensure all infrastructure and services meet organizational and regulatory security standards.
Work closely with developers, DevOps, and security teams to align on technical requirements and business goals.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in cloud engineering and automation.
Stay current with emerging Azure technologies and drive continuous improvement across infrastructure and processes.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering roles with a focus on Azure.
Core Technologies & Skills
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
Strong understanding of cloud security, resilience, and compliance practices.
Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Azure Monitor).
Knowledge of version control (Git) and software engineering best practices.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and ownership mindset.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
Knowledge of networking, databases, or data engineering in cloud environments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and fast-paced environments.
Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in the cloud engineering community.
