Senior Software Engineer, SRE

Key Responsibilities

• Improve observability, reliability, and availability by defining and measuring key metrics


• Build automation and improve systems to eliminate toil and operations work


• Collaborate with core infrastructure and product teams to optimize cloud deployments and reduce service disruptions


• Proactively find and analyze reliability problems across business units and implement software solutions


• Educate, mentor, and hold accountable engineering teams to improve system reliability


• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs


• Debug extremely difficult technical problems and improve system performance


• Review feature designs and ensure security, safety, and architectural clarity


• Build pipelines to integrate with third-party vendors


• Participate in on-call support rotation for urgent issue resolution

Required Qualifications

• At least 6+ years of experience in software engineering


• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services


• Passion for building an open financial system


• Strong technical skills for system design and coding


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Strong skills in observability, debugging, and performance tuning


• Strong interpersonal skills working with engineers at all levels


• Demonstrated critical thinking under pressure


• Willingness to dive into understanding and improving any layer of the stack


• On-call availability for issue resolution outside regular business hours
