Senior Cloud Architect (Technical) (Multiple)

Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with AWS expertise to join our team. This is a hybrid position based in Central London with travel requirements to customer sites. You'll be working with government, defence, and enterprise organisations to deliver complex AWS solutions.

Compensation

Salary: £120,000-£140,000

Location: Central London with hybrid work options (0-3 days onsite per week)

Clearance: SC clearance required (must be UK-based and eligible for SC clearance)

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design

• Design and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient AWS platforms for complex enterprise workloads
• Architect large-scale systems covering infrastructure, networking, and security with strong knowledge of AWS reference architectures
• Apply Well Architected principles in hands-on technical design, ensuring best practices are consistently met

Cloud Governance & Security

• Design and provide technical governance over the delivery of significant workloads on the cloud
• Build cloud-native security solutions to prevent, detect, and remediate risks on AWS
• Design and implement security controls using AWS Organizations, CloudTrail, SecurityHub, GuardDuty, IAM and IAM Identity Center

Migration & Modernization

• Lead landing zone design and implementation, migration roadmaps, and modernization programmes
• Design and deliver workloads using a wide range of AWS services in production environments

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional delivery teams
• Set technical direction for enterprise-scale cloud projects

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and architectures
• Expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions
• Knowledge of cloud-native security practices and tools
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation

Professional Qualifications

• Must be UK-based and eligible for SC clearance
• Experience working with government or enterprise clients
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Interview Process

• Screening call with our Talent Acquisition team
• First Interview - 30 minute remote interview with our hiring team
• Second Interview - 60 minute remote technical interview with members of our architecture team
• Third Interview - 60 minute in person interview with members of our Senior Leadership Team
