Principal Cloud Engineer (AWS) (Multiple)

Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Principal Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join our team in Central London. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Central London. We're looking for talented cloud infrastructure engineers with expertise in AWS landing zones and site reliability best practices to help enterprise organizations unlock the true value of cloud technology.

Location: Central London – Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Clearance Requirements: SC clearance is required. You must be UK-based and eligible to pass SC clearance.

Compensation

Salary: £95,000 - £130,000

Additional discretionary bonus scheme available

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Design

• Designing complex multi-tenant systems aligned to cloud best practices
• Building, testing, packaging, deploying and operating AWS landing zones
• Scoping container/microservices to design cloud solutions

Automation & Implementation

• Automating the build of complex AWS services and cloud platforms with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Packaging services into AMIs, Docker containers or Serverless deployments
• Championing infrastructure as code and being opinionated about IaC structure and modularisation
• Utilising deployment techniques to enable zero downtime

Security & Reliability

• Mitigating security risks in AWS and supporting a mature Cloud Security Model
• Implementing site reliability engineering best practices for enterprise-scale environments

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• Extensive experience with AWS landing zones and site reliability best practices
• Experience designing, building and operating enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure
• Strong skills in automating complex AWS services using Terraform
• Knowledge of container technologies and microservices architecture
• Experience with infrastructure as code methodologies

Professional Qualifications

• Must be UK-based and eligible for SC clearance
• Ability to work collaboratively with customer teams and stakeholders
• Strong technical leadership skills to define technical direction and strategy
