Strategic Growth Partners is seeking an experienced Cloud Specialist for a program supporting the state of Mississippi Department of Archives & History in Jackson, MS. This is a full-time onsite position.

🎯 The Role

This is a full-time onsite position supporting the state of Mississippi Department of Archives & History in Jackson, MS.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms.
• Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy.
• Moves existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms safely.
• Monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.
• Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.

📌 Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with automation and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of cloud networking, virtual private clouds (VPCs), and firewalls.
• Advanced VM management, Windows Server/Active Directory, and Linux administration.
• Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows Server, Azure/AWS, Microsoft 365.
• Programming Language/Development Tools: PowerShell.

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Preferred skills/experience 5–6+ years working with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Prior government or regulated industry experience.
• Operating Systems: Linux.
• Programming Language/Development Tools: Python, Bash.

🎁 Benefits

Compensation: $45 – 50 per hour.

🛂 Visa & Eligibility

Contract Duration: 11/1/2026 – 6/30/2027
Worksite Type: Onsite. Monday – Friday. 40 hours per week.
