DevOps Engineer - Cloud & Edge Infrastructure

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our hybrid edge-to-cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with our core development team to modernize our CI/CD pipelines, secure our GCP environments, and prepare for SOC2 compliance. This is an opportunity for a mid-level US engineer looking for autonomy or an experienced nearshore engineer seeking direct integration with a US-based hardware/software team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and scale our cloud environment using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) across GCP and GKE (Kubernetes)


• Maintain and optimize our Jenkins build and deployment pipelines


• Build and maintain Docker images and manage containerized applications


• Lead the hardening of our clusters and implement technical controls for SOC2/ISO 27001 audits


• Ensure stability, backup automation, and scaling of MySQL databases, BigQuery datasets, and message brokers


• Act as the primary point of contact for infrastructure stability during core PST working hours


• Handle deployment and version control of multiple systems in our blue-green environment

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, or highly technical Systems Engineering


• Solid working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes


• Deep comfort with Linux environments, including scripting (Bash/Python) and troubleshooting


• Availability and high responsiveness during core Pacific Standard Time (PST) working hours


• Growth mindset with a proactive approach to finding bottlenecks and proposing solutions
