We’re looking for an experienced Engineer to lead our site reliability practices with a strong background in distributed systems architecture and high scale cloud backends to help us do what we love most: building the best monitoring platform for developers.
Improve reliability and evolve our infrastructure
You will get a chance to be hands-on in our stack, driving challenging platform initiatives and scaling up our infrastructure together with our backend engineers. You will be influential in the development of our cloud architecture roadmap and code-based infrastructure management (”Infrastructure as code”).
Help us continue to build a strong SRE culture in a supportive team environment
You will play a key role in defining how we “do reliability”. Together with your peers in the product engineering teams, you will be responsible for:
Observability of our backend platform: define bottlenecks, track them and fix them.
Optimize our performance and reduce error rates: from wild queries, to slow queues to Heisenbugs.
Work directly with our VP of Engineering to have reliability baked into everything we do.
Identify valuable infrastructure initiatives, communicate them clearly and bring them from idea to production.
We know people come with various knowledge and experience, so a combination of some, any or all of the points below will contribute to your success.
Background of technical leadership driving engineering excellence
Experience in building, scaling or managing production web services
Experience with production deployments in the cloud (especially AWS)
Deep working experience with AWS, SQL & OLAP databases and Node.js
First-hand experience with SRE practices: SLOs/SLAs, modern incident management, etc.
Know how to communicate with coworkers and customers in English.
Ability to be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote work environment, while you also enjoy getting to know your colleagues and helping others.
Located in UTC-3 to UTC+3.
