The Opportunity

Are you a meticulous DevOps Engineer with experience in system automation and a keen appetite for maintaining seamless operations? Do you find joy in solving problems through creating repeatable solutions that can be handed off to engineers? If you excel in an environment where infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and rapid deployment are paramount, we have an urgent need for your expertise on our technology infrastructure team.

At Carbon6, we are pursuing a skilled DevOps Engineer to fortify our fast-moving infrastructure team. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in refining our deployment pipelines, managing our cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the high availability of our services. Your hands-on experience with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and your adeptness in implementing industry best practice in cloud environments and application support will, contribute to the delivery of a first-class product.

 

Your Impact

 

    • Implement, manage, and optimize containerized workloads using Amazon EKS, ensuring scalable and robust infrastructure to support dynamic startup demands.
    • Design and deploy within AWS, leveraging EKS for orchestration and utilizing Helm and HelmCharts for package management and deployment.
    • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployment of services, with a strong emphasis on automation and infrastructure as code principles.
    • Administer AWS managed services to ensure optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and security compliance, contributing to the smooth operation of cloud-native applications.
    • Adapt and respond to the fast-paced nature of a startup environment, prioritizing tasks and managing workloads effectively to meet the changing needs of the business.
    • Exercise pragmatism in problem-solving, focusing on delivering practical solutions that drive immediate and impactful results.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and share DevOps best practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the organization.

 

Your Qualifications

 

    • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles, with a focus on AWS cloud services, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
    • Deep knowledge of AWS ecosystem and services, especially Amazon EKS, with a proven track record of managing production environments at scale.
    • Expertise in container orchestration using Kubernetes and package management with Helm and HelmCharts, demonstrating an ability to construct and maintain complex deployments.
    • Strong background in automating cloud-native technologies, with extensive experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
    • Acute organizational skills, with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a startup atmosphere, and adept at shifting priorities as needed.
    • Proactive and practical in approach, with a can-do attitude and a readiness to take on the varied challenges typical of a fast-evolving startup landscape.
    • Commitment to Agile methodologies is essential, with opinions and experiences that contribute to the enhancement of development operations and team sprints..
