About the role:
The Site Reliability Engineering team in CaptivateIQ operates horizontally across the engineering organization, supporting our development teams by providing them with the tools and processes they need to operate in a frictionless manner. We provide the infrastructure needed to run our production platform, and are responsible for the reliable and scalable operation of that platform. SRE owns observability services (including Datadog) at CaptivateIQ, which are used across Engineering to keep tabs on performance, availability and proactively addressing potential bottlenecks in the system. Although every team at CIQ owns their own production services, SRE partners closely with product engineering teams on issues that affect the product as a whole.
The team consists of passionate, driven, forward-thinking engineers, who take as much pride in problem prevention as they do in problem-solving. We are passionate about technology and innovation, and continually strive to be aware of the latest solutions the industry has to offer. Automation and infrastructure-as-code with terraform enable us to put efficient, repeatable processes in place, and we have the flexibility and foresight needed for us to ensure we are working where we are needed most.
We strive to be excellent communicators who understand the value of cooperation with stakeholders, and the importance of information sharing. We have the capability to develop expertise in areas we are less familiar with and the ability to share that knowledge with the rest of the team.
Ideal candidate locations will be North America in the Central or East Coast US/Canada time zones.
