As a Cloud Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and securing our cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services. Your role will encompass optimizing resource utilization, implementing robust security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards (including CMMC), and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet their specific requirements. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects that directly impact our organization's success and security.
What You'll Do:
Design and develop cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services that align with the organization's objectives and requirements.
Continuously monitor the performance of cloud-based systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and high availability.
Implement stringent security measures, including encryption and access controls, to safeguard data and assets within the cloud environment.
Participate in regular audits of the cloud infrastructure to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations, with a specific focus on CMMC.
Collaborate effectively with the Security Operations Center (SOC) team and other stakeholders to gather requirements and customize cloud systems based on stakeholder needs.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience of AWS.
In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements, specifically CMMC.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Knowledge of networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS, and load balancing.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, particularly when working with cross-functional teams.
US Citizens or permanent residents only.
Veterans preferred.
Preferred
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certifications.
Experience with other cloud platforms, such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficiency in scripting and automation.
This a remote US-based position with minimal travel.
