SecOps Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Follow ITIL best practices while dealing with incidents, service requests, event management, problem management, and other problems.
• Create automation scripts to deploy and manage solutions on the cloud in all life cycle stages, practicing IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DaaS, and GitOps best practices.
• Handle customer incidents, service, change requests, and cloud infrastructure effectively.
• Work closely with customers, addressing their security concerns and ensuring their interactions with our cloud environment are seamless.
• Develop and implement security controls to protect against threats and vulnerabilities, with a strong focus on customer requirements and interactions.
• Point of contact for Network security design and architecture in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
• Manage firewall configurations and policies to enhance cloud security.
• Leverage your solid understanding of Cloud network and network security to maintain the integrity of our network infrastructure.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts proactively to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain security best practices.
• Perform security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate weaknesses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience on one of the hyperscale (AWS – GCP – Azure).
• Excellent troubleshooting and innovative problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to act quickly.
• Demonstrate the highest level of detail orientation and organizational skills.
• Strong Operating systems troubleshooting skills (Linux - MS).
• Strong understanding of cloud security services and firewall management.
• Solid understanding of structured text like JSON, YAML, and XML.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and best practices.
• Solid Operational experience with Change – incident and problem management.
• Relevant certifications match the job role, examples:
• AWS Certified Security – Pro or Specialty.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty.
• Microsoft AZ-500 Azure Security Engineer Associate.
• Fortinet NSE Certificate.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Proven track of successful deployments and managed services.
