Senior Platform Engineer

Job Overview

As Accurx has become the go-to communication software in healthcare, we have a responsibility to build a reliable platform that can be scaled for both internal and external users. As a Senior Platform Engineer at Accurx, your role will go beyond moving technical initiatives forward; you will help shape the future of the Platform at Accurx.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with other engineers in the Platform Team to share knowledge and collaborate on Platform engineering solutions
• Continue to scale and develop the platform to keep up with the latest tooling, security, and system design practices
• Collaborate with Product Engineers to deliver engineering-wide initiatives
• Uphold Platform engineering standards and best practices
• Work with the Engineering Manager to help define the Platform roadmap
• Participate in the Platform Team’s regular on-call rota
• Participate in all hiring activities within the Platform Team as needed
• Lead projects both in technical implementation and delivery of outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Experience enabling product engineers to build products at scale as a DevOps engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Platform/Cloud Engineer, or as a software engineer who has championed DevOps culture
• Experience developing and deploying in a public cloud environment, such as Azure, AWS or GCP (we use Azure)
• Experience working with distributed systems (we use Kubernetes)
• Experience with infrastructure as code
• Experience managing monitoring and alerting systems
• Experience working with CI
• Experience with a programming language - bonus if you have experience in C# or another object-oriented language
• Proficient in version control systems such as Git
